Last year I was living for a while in London. Eventually, due to different reasons, decided to return to my family town. I was sure that after coming back I will find my city exactly as I left it. However, my assumption very wrong. Despite the fact that nothing important has happened there and everything was the same at first glance, I traced some minor changes.

To begin with, custom bicycles became extremely attractive. Almost all of my friends were discussing where and how they could design your own bike. During the day you could see tons of people who were commuting to schools on their bicycles. I have to say that I really liked that change, as I always considered my town as too lazy. At this moment, Thanks to the fact that having custom single speed bikes became to be that famous, most of my friends and family members stopped to use cars and started using their own bicycles, more information I don’t even need to explain how positive effect it has on environment. Thanks to this, my city would be even more beautiful.

Futhermore, I realized that more and more guys take hot drinks to take away. I might see many young guys with cups of coffee on the street. I am aware that, this is really bad as this paper and plastic cups were possibly disposable. On the other hand, I considered this as a positive thing as it meant that individuals in my city were becoming richer. Why do I think so? If you are rather poor, you simply don’t purchase coffee to take away. Most probably you would rather drink them at home or take your own coffee in thermos.

Additionally, I have noticed that people seemed to be nicer. They were smiling to each other on the street, talking to each other on train etc.. When I asked foreigner about something, the answer was usually very polite. That weird women who works at the bank became to be much nicer than earlier. She even began to smile. Nevertheless, I have to admit 1 thing. I still don’t know if all those small things have really changed, or if I missed my city so badly, that now I see it in much more positive light.
